17 Mar Painting day
Yay! A day to paint!
And with spring (perhaps even summer, if I wish real hard?) showing itself I’m taking a swing into flowers. These are chives.
This is an echinacea flower that I painted huge before, but this time it’s much smaller.
I really enjoyed playing with the backgrounds of these two. It’s much more layering and playing than I’ve been doing, and took them away from the photos I worked from. They’ve got me all revved up! More to come.

Posted at 05:37h, 18 MarchYay, you! A day to do what you love. Have you tried snipping chives and putting them into a grilled cheese sandwich? My friend turned me on to this, and it’s amazing!

Posted at 08:38h, 18 MarchWhy that is very sophisticated my dear! Hey here’s a look ahead for you with your young ones. When they get bigger they make their own grilled cheese sandwiches and if I time it right and ask right they’ll sometimes make one for me!! Score!!

Posted at 09:33h, 20 MarchGreat paintings, dear Jennifer. They lit up a grey and rainy, cold day in Norfolk. I feel a little bit warmer now! Thanks. 🙂
Best regards from Cley next the Sea
