Sometimes when I’m not sure about the painting I can still enjoy the palette.

This is a big one, 30″ x 40″.  I have to do some more work on the middle of the flower.  It was a bit fiddly and made the spots behind my ears hurt when I worked on it too long.  For now I’ve hung it in my bedroom and at dawn I enjoy watching it turn from a dark shape to a bright thing.  I’m not sure it will stay this bright, and I’m not sure if the background is staying or changing, although I like the light parts on the right side and the splash of blue, but I am enjoying the process!  And the size!!  Just a really fun thing to walk by.  The petals really were sort of weird like that, with big gaps between them.  Less so as the flower opened more.
